You responded to me in AVSforum, but figured that I would come here to reply. Here is a link to the RS232 codes: http://www.mitsubishi-presentations.com/pdf/mitsubishi_cc_wd2000u.pdf
Please let me know if it can be done. I did not see how to create a custom profile in your software, do you have a demo to show how? I do appreciate it and will definitely donate if this becomes useful to me.
Thanks,
Jim

OK.. I'll look through the docs this afternoon and see what commands are available that would be useful during calibration.

I did not see how to create a custom profile in your software
From the MENU, select SETTINGS and then Click on EDIT PROFILE.

I looked, it will work.. In fact the Built-in one (in v1.4 RC1) for the Mits HC Series will work as is.
If you want other Controls added, you can add them easily or I guess I could create a Profile for you.
Other useful Controls (I/You can add only 1 more in v1.4 RC1, v1.41 Beta has several additional Controls Available including Dedicated Gamma Controls):
COLOR TEMP, though I believe once you change the USER - CONTRAST or USER - BRIGHTNESS Controls, it automatically sets COLOR TEMP to USER. You may want a Control for the other settings.
CINEMA MODE
SETUP (values of: 0=AUTO, 1=OFF, 2=3.75%, 3=7.5%)
LAMP MODE
COLOR ENHANCER including Controls for COLOR ENHANCER-USER. I am not sure if I can use the Dedicated Gamma Controls in v1.41 Beta anyways for these COLOR ENHANCER Controls, so we may just use some of the Main unused Controls.
Like I stated above, that projector follows the Code Format in the HC Series, so the Version you have will work with all the Controls included with the Built in Profile.

Shawn, thanks for looking into this for me, if I need additional controls to calibrate my projector, I will inquire into an additional profile if I cannot figure it out myself. So you do not think that the gamma controls in the beta will function as designed? Why or why not, since I do not have the beta version available? Thanks for your help.
Also, which USB to RS232 adapter do you recommend, since most both of my laptops do not have a RS232 port, any to steer clear of that you know of? I currently use one based on the FTDI chip here: http://www.usbgear.com/USBG-232.html , it was recommended by my Video Processor manufacturer, DVDO (but does not work with my HTM remote control MX-850) Opinions?
Is there a chance of getting the beta version?

Well, it's not really gamma and there is only 3 settings.. :(
ControlCAL is flexible and it will not be any problem supporting the Color Enhancment Control(s).... I am not sure the Dedicated Gamma Control(s) would be the best for it.
I could get you in the Beta but the Edit Option is disabled to the Group even so I would have to create a Profile too..
Give me some time.. I should be able to get something for you.. :)

Sure, I can give you some time. I just ordered my new screen today and should be here in a week, also ordered a light meter too. So, I will be calibrating it in about a week or so. PM or email me and thanks!

vfrjim,
Did you try the Build-In Profile in v1.4 RC1 with your Display? If so, what were the results?

I did not try it yet, I was waiting for my light meter to come in and they back ordered it without notifying me, so I ordered another from another source today. My new screen is in place and just waiting now for the light meter. I will report back with my results when I get my results.
Did you have a chance to build a custom profile for the WD2000U?
Thanks,
Jim
