I used ControlCal for the first time last night on my 141. And all I can say is Wow.

What I do not know is how to use the Gamma points. So I just used the default, I guess. I did not enter anything in the gamma control.
My gamma line came out like a lumber mans dream, flat as a board
So what happens if I + or- a number in one of the gamma points? And why would I want to change from the default?

I use Calman, I1pro, DVE HD blu ray for IRE windows and AVCHD RC1 for color windows.

Thanks,

Peter.

If the gamma tracking is flat and the resulting picture quality is excellent there is no need to mess with the gamma controls. :)

Something like this. This is from my first time using CC on my 141.

Hehe, yes, something like that. ;)

Then it's basically up to you, using your own eyes, if there is some tweaking necessary for the low end or if you have enough shadow detail as is. Of course, the 9-point controls are very coarse so you quickly get into the domain of diminishing returns.
