After tweeking some adjustments using ControlCAL, I watched some scenes from a couple BD titles and some OTA TV. I then decided to run the "Video" pattern before I went to bed.

I noticed at the top of the screen as the white bar scrolls across I can see a faint "ISF" on the left and "VIDEO 4" on the right. I didn't notice this when watching normal content.

Is this IR? Has anyone else seen this when using ControlCAL? Will it go away? I didn't think I was in ControlCAL that long and I don't use contrast settings above 30.

This is the first time I've noticed anything like this although I've only run the "Video Pattern" once before (and that was before I had ControlCAL).

Anyone?

I see Ken Ross already answered you on AVS, you can turn the OSD off (the Button is on the Profile Extras window) if you like...

I personally keep the OSD On, I think most do. BTW, ControlCAL will automatically turn the OSD On again when you use the END CALIBRATION Button.

Run the Video Pattern (maybe 2-3 times).. you should be fine...

Just an update:

I adjusted some settings on another input with the OSD off, then watched some TV. Later I checked the video pattern and I no longer see the faint letters!:)

Glad it resolved itself for you.
