To Enable the RS-232 Port on the 7G Elite TV's:



With the plasma display in “Standby”, press and release the Home Menu key then press and release the Power key within 3 seconds.
Disable SR+ (RS232C control and SR+ function cannot be used simultaneously).
Set UART SELECT to 9600bps (use the Left and Right keys).
Push the Home Menu key to Save settings and return to normal operation.

Hi, I was successful in activating the isf day/night modes on my 7G pro-1140. Thanks Turbe !! The procedure to enable the RS-232 port on the TV is different than the 8G/9G’s (the correct procedure is in the pioneer 'PRO1140HD RS-232c Protocols' pdf which I found with a search). Otherwise the rest of the Controlcal procedures are the same as the 8/9G’s. When my 151fd break-in is done, that will be getting the Controlcal treatment as well :D

I had written a review regarding the calibration of my panels elsewhere but wanted to write something here to thank Robert Busch and Turbe for working together to be able to connect ControlCal to my 1140 for an ISF calibration. My panel is 3 years old and its like new again and better with ISF settings on.
You guys are awesome!

Is a PDP-4360HD a 7G or 8G?
Will it work OK with the ControlCAL 7/8G ISFccc Display Profile set?
Is there a listing of what models are in each Generation?

Hi Steve,

The PDP-4360HD is a 6G, though I have the docs for that generation, I do not have a Profile Set built for ControlCAL.

I will need to get you a list of models via email. You can also email me a Model and I'll let you know.

Is the Pioneer 6070 considered 7G. This is not an elite model.

If so, are all the items shown in the above screen active?
