Using ControlCal and simply applying D-Nice's 151 ISFccc settings would it be fair to say I can achieve close to a professional calibration? I realize there is no substitution for a pro calibration but would I get 80-90%?

Thank you for posting.. I get asked this many times and I thought it best to post this on the Forum.
Of course, using Posted Settings from another is no substitution to a proper calibration, either DIY or by hiring a Professional.
I may be updating this Post/Thread.
I thought this would help answer your question:
My settings are not intended to be a substitute for full blown calibration. They are designed to get you closed to D65 that anything the "out of the box" or a calibration DVD will ever be able to do.
If you want 100% out of your panel, calibration is the only way to go.

My settings were never meant to be a substitute for full blown calibration. Strictly speaking on Pioneer plasmas, they do not vary that much from the factory. I practice what I preach and do the recommended break-in procedure. All of my settings are derived from that procedure (minus the Non-Break-in DVD/Thumbdrive Owner's reference settings). If you follow the same procedure, your panel will be within 95% of what I see on the panels I have. i can't say the same thing for those owners who do not do the recommended break-in procedure.

Dnice....
I want to tell you I finally used my i1 Pro for the first time on my friends Pioneer Kuro 111FD.
He used your break-in settings for almost 150 hours straight. with some minor tv watching in between (in pure mode)
Pre calibrated - the TV was the best I have seen. Around 5 - 6 De off standard.
I first input your settings to see if they were better then out of the box...
WOW!!!!
Your settings are 98 - 99% of a full professional calibration
Anywhere from .5 - 2.2 De throughout the IRE range only one IRE higher then 1.6 (100 Ire at the 2.2)
Colors almost spot on.
I am very impressed with your work, and even more impressed with the level of "standards" Pioneer used to make the TV's. To get 2 different TV’s to measure so close with the same settings is remarkable.
I was able to dial it in a tad more with my own calibration, but I wanted to let you know that anyone that follows your break-in settings and inputs your numbers are in for a treat.
