Hi All,

I am new to the forum and have a basic question about the ControlCal software.

I have the budget 9G model listed above (not sure what the Europeen or US equivalent is). Firstly can I use the ControlCal software with this panel? And secondly would it provide any benefit at all?

I have read somewhere else the the budget model that I have is basically the 8G model with the 9G video processing. So if I was to use a profile to calibrate it, which one would I use?

Thanks for any helpful info you can provide.

PS: One last question. I am half way through the break-in period and I would like to see how many hours the panel has been used for. Will ontrolCal at least allow me into the service menu? And will that show the number of hours used?

Cheers

Chris

If it has the ISFccc Interface, there would be benefits using ControlCAL's ISFccc Display Profiles. :D

I will have to find the manual / specs, does your manual state it has the ISFccc Interface?

The other Profile will work..

Thanks Turbe,

I have had a quick run through the manual which covers all three of the Australian models lx509a lx609a and c509a, but I cannot find any mention of the ISFccc interface.

Although it does have the RS232 service port.

Also how would I go about checking the usage? If I had the 5020 model (I believe that is equivalent to the lx509a) how would I find the usage counter?

Cheers

Chris

With THIS (http://www.controlcal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120) Display Profile

:D

In regards to ISFccc, I will check out the specs, I may have to run tests with you since that is a Pioneer Budget Mode, but unlike North American, that one appears it may have the ISFccc Interface.

Sounds good! :D

I will grab a serial cable and have a look on the weekend and let you know what I find.

What will the ISFccc interface give me? Better colour range? Better contrast?

Sorry for all the basic questions.

Thanks for your help! :)

Still can't find any reference in the manual.

However the Pioneer Australia website states this as one of the features of the PDP-C509A.

"Enhanced ISF C3 capability allows a certified calibrator to perform advanced colour calibration with never-before-achieved simplicity, accuracy and reliability.

ISF C3 certified calibration configuration allows an expert video calibrator to:

1. Optimise the output of the connected video devices to the screen.

2. Optimise the screen performance to the ambient light conditions for day-time and night viewing

The PDPC509A comes with a three-year warranty."[/SIZE][/I]
