Hi!
just wanted to know if its a must to calibrate after each source?
how different are each dvd/bluray players from displaying content accurately?

i have a ps3 as a blurayplayer, denon 3930 as a dvdplayer and xbox1 as a xvid streamingmachine.
i have a pioneer 5090h as a display.

how important is it to calibrate after different colorspace depending on which material you use?
HDTV - REC 709
SDTV - REC 601 (NTSC)
PAL/SECAM

Due to the peculiar nature of the Pioneers' CMS, I think it would not be possible to calibrate their color space (gamut) according to the SDTV standard.

Though of course I'd be glad to be proven wrong.

Use Colorspace 1 for SD :)

Many in Europe will use one ISFccc Memory for HD (Colorspace set to 2) and anothe ISFccc Memory for SD (Colorspace set to 1).. :D

I thought the gamut for SD sources actually had to be "smaller" then the HD one  Color Space 1 is a wider gamut, IIRC...

Also, does Color Space 1 apply to any reference standard like Color Space 2 applies to rec709?

Use Colorspace 1 for SD
thank you turbe!
excuse my dumb question:
(i dont have any colormeter yet so i cannot really calibrate myself)
Can i just copy the cms & rgb settings i have for hd to another isfmemory, and just change colorspace=1?
It doesnt work that way right?

Also, does Color Space 1 apply to any reference standard like Color Space 2 applies to rec709?

yes i would like to know that too
