View Full Version : Question LX6090.What's the ultimate profile? gorman 05-09-2009, 05:20 PM Does this http://www.controlcal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120 include everything? HDCraig 05-09-2009, 06:30 PM I would get that profile and the following profile ISFccc Profile: http://www.controlcal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64 I think its the 9G ISFccc regions2 profile for your model. If you get thme both upfront, they are only $50 for both I think vs $35 per profile. gorman 05-10-2009, 03:47 AM But that's where I "lose the plot", so to say... The "show hours, etc." profile is specifically stated as including everything else (Full Enchilada (http://www.controlcal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2055&postcount=5)). Why would I need the other profile. Also, I really don't understand what's with the Models for Europe [SD Only] thing? The LX6090 can be calibrated only for standard definition? Why would that be? Turbe 05-10-2009, 11:51 AM The ISFccc Interface and the SM are separate interfaces, you cannot get to the ISFccc Interface from the SM and you cannot get to the SM from the ISFccc Interface - they are totally separate - hence the different Profiles. The ISFccc Profiles give you the 'Full Enchilada' of the ISFccc Interface and the Special Profile gives you the 'Full Enchilada' of the SM (though you should stick to checking hours and/or changing the Side Mask with the instructions posted). The LX6090 can be calibrated for SD or HD (ignore that SD Only text). Changed to No DTV Tuner gorman 05-10-2009, 11:56 AM Soooo.... two profiles are needed to get the "full enchilada"? Right? And if I get the two suggested I'd be set for good, right? Sorry but there's just too much info around here. Also, I have Calman. Am I right in understanding there's a way of making the two products work together, thus completely automating the calibration process (at least for an HTPC)? Turbe 05-10-2009, 12:05 PM Using the phrase "Full Enchilada", if you want it for both Interfaces (again, the are separate and different), then you need both Profiles. Why the ISFccc Profile? Understanding the Pioneer 9G ISFccc Interface (http://www.controlcal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109) ControlCAL Reviews & Testimonials (http://www.controlcal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97) Many users (including DIY and Pros) use CalMAN with ControlCAL - the process is not totally automated, you still use ControlCAL to make adjustments with your mouse and/or keyboard. gorman 05-10-2009, 02:37 PM :) Sorry for the enchilada thing, yes I meant wanting the "everything" option. It's those two profiles. Good. Will soon part with my money. Be ready! ;) And thanks for all the help! PS I'm pretty sure I'll need more help in the future, btw. Turbe 05-10-2009, 04:50 PM I'm pretty sure I'll need more help in the future, btw. That's what I'm here for (and this Forum) gorman 05-11-2009, 01:28 AM Well, thanks. I was reading around the forums and I came across you stating not to use settings for the 50/6090H screens on the "non H" models. I thought the only differences between the models were lack of media player, MPEG4 tuner and one less ISF slot available. Is that not the case? Is the 6090 a lesser screen than the 6090H in other regards? gorman 05-14-2009, 11:02 AM Could you help me in understanding what money I need to send for having two profiles activations? Turbe 05-14-2009, 02:19 PM Well, thanks. The "H's" do perform differently. Could you help me in understanding what money I need to send for having two profiles activations?
