I will calibrate my new Blu-ray player (Oppo) using AVS HD 709 and ColorHCFR. If I will burn AVS HD 709 on a DVD can I use in ColorHCFR Color space HDTV - REC 709, because here: http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10457

it says: If you are using a Blu-ray or HD DVD test disc, set the "Color Space - Standard" option to HDTV - REC 709.
If you are using a Standard DVD test disc that is in PAL or SECAM format, set the Color Space - Standard option to PAL/SECAM.
Thank you!

The AVSHD you'd burn on a DVD would actually be in AVCHD format. That's the equivalent of a Blu-ray or HDDVD test disc and every pattern on it applies to the REC709 standard. So yes, you should set it to REC709 on HCFR.

Hi,
What if you are using the Patched version of the AVS HD 709 disc because your blu ray player won't play the AVCHD Standard correctly?

Will this still be fine.
