my eye 1pro arrives next week . It'll be interesting to see how close the aussie KRP500m is to the North american one

D-Nice, thanks for posting the settings.
My 500 will arrive to Montevideo/Uruguay next week, as there are no ISF calibrators around here, I have to calibrate my own gear (Calman, eye 1pro), only did two FPs until now.
Starting from solid base settings makes things much easier to noobs.
Your help is highly appreciated all around the globe!
Regards
Gustavo

Thanks! These will tide me over until I see you in September.

Speaking of which, I have eager Bostonians baying at my heels and you have email. :)

cant wait to receive my patch this week, thank you very much D-Nice as you know i have been waiting on these :)

Thank you turbe for sending me the patch also.

*edit* D-Nice, you didnt mention about post break-in process or can this be done straight once the unit has been patched? This is so people who hasn't done the break-in would know.

Break-in then Patch or Patch then Break-in, your choice

Hmmm , plugging in D-Nice's figures into my aussie KRP 500m ...(nb I didnt use the Evangelo break in disc)

greyscale + gamma were perfect

When i attempted it myself with an i1Pro my 0 - 20IRE readings were a joke ! ( in a light controlled room and sensor initialised on white tile every 20 minutes)

my SMPTE bars aren't right with d-Nice's offests so i tried myself...

When i was trying to adjust Magenta Calman told me to adjust color but i couldnt get it anywhere near the bullseye so went to bed

whoever writes a Manual For Calibration Newbies is gonna make a mint! :)

Still it was fun to do and made me realise calibrators earn every cent

I am definitely going to order the patch but I am curious as to what the standard break-in routine is if you are going to use the ISF modes (in other words is it still the same 150 hour sport mode settings?). I found the break-in settings for using "Pure" but I didn't know if the optimal break-in settings were the same for someone that was going to use the ISF modes.

Also, any suggestions for a 5G Pioneer Elite Pro-1010 as far as settings?

Thanks,

clthoma2

I will echo the Qs made by the poster above me. Are these settings to be used after the 150-hr. break-in procedure?

I think Turbe's post (Post #7) sums it up pretty well.

Option #1:
Patch the monitor so you now have the ISF modes available. Set the sport modes, as per D-Nice's break-in settings. Then use ControlCAL and set the ISF-night/day settings in Post #1 here.

Option #2:
Break-in using D-Nice's settings and the DVD, patch the monitor, and then set the ISF-night/day settings.

Are the KRP's and the Sigs close enough to apply these 500M settings to a 101-FD?

thx
