Hi.

I live in Europe, Spain. I am interested in buy a Pioneer KRP-500M from USA, the main reason is the price, it is very good despite of taxes. I saw different offers in ebay.

However, I have different doubts, I'll appreciate some help.

1) Is sure buying 500M in ebay? Could it be refurbished models?
2) Could I use the patch for NA 500M and Controlcal? My intention is to calibrate the panel using ControlCal, Calman and Spyder 3 enhanced by SpectralCal. I know it is not the better colorimeter for Kuros but I bought it in July and in my opinion is too soon to change it. :D
3) Can I connect Pioneer speakers for Kuros to this model? In Spain, the digital tv is in stereo, I don't want to use my receiver.

Many thanks.

Shop around in Europe, you should be able to find a KRP for a good price. I wouldn't take a chance shipping one like that.

Perhaps you should look at the KRP-A, it comes with speakers.

In Europe, I only can find KRP-A and at a price significantly higher. around 3500$ in my country.

Are they so risky?

Thanks.

the extra money you pay to buy the KRP in Spain will seem like chicken feed compared to the freight costs for you to send back ur American KRP when u see the cracked screen

si compras el KRP de america, estas loco

I pay a little for insurance. The freight forwarded company checked the KRP when arrived to Miami and they took some photos.

So they had to respond in case something wrong happend to the KRP during shipping to South America.

If you think, Sony, Samsung and other brands don't manufacture their TV here. They have factories in Mexico, in the US, in Japan or in Korea so they had to ship their TVs here any way.

Cargo plains and airports are prepared for handling this kind of things.

PS: I am crazy any way so..... :)
