I have a colomunki photo to calibrate my Eizo monitors... can I use this to calibrate my 500m?

What other software would I need?

I don't know of any Video Display Calibration software that supports it:

The UV filter is enough of a problem that CalMAN doesn't have ColorMunki on its support roadmap. It would be great to get a lower-cost spectro into users' hands, but this is, unfortunately, not the droid we are looking for. Things may change in another six months or a year, but if you are in a hurry, I would point you to a few other options (e.g., Chroma 5) right now instead.

Until January 31, the ColorMunki with CalMAN Home is only $599 ($799 after January 31), with ControlCAL Registered (1 Display Profile).
Until January 31, the ColorMunki with CalMAN Home is only $579 ($779 after January 31), without ControlCAL.

*This may be extended to end of February or March 2010.

If you got a ControlCAL Product/Bundle within 30 days, you can pick the 1st option and I would credit you back $35 on your recent (within 30 days) ControlCAL Bundle. ;)

EDIT: These are Enhanced ColorMunki's - SpectraCal has further improved it by profiling each ColorMunki individually against a representative backlight LED LCD panel, making the ColorMunki the first spectrophotometer with individual correction for backlight LEDs.

I've convinced SpectraCal to offer lower Intro Pricing for the ColorMunki's:

$579/$599 (I edited my Post above).

Includes CalMAN Home and the individual ColorMunki calibration in SpectraCal's lab (with a CS-2000), including the LED Backlit calibration tables ($175 if you buy your ColorMunki Spectro elsewhere).

Since I already have a CalMAN spec license and X-Rite had the Munki on sale I popped for one. So far I've spent about an hour with it. Since it's not from SpectraCal I used a profile from an i1p.

Pros:
It's fast. Apparently not as fast as a K-10 but fast like my DTP-94. Slightly slower at 0% but then faster than an i1 from 10-100 with roughly constant sampling speed.
It's repeatable. Very little twitch from run to run.
Seems color accurate. It generally matches my other meters.
The case zips shut -- moving the zipper will compensate for bezel depth so it sits flat with no help.

Cons:
The supplied case is for calibrating desktop monitors not larger than 24 inches.
The case has a pair of seams that are entirely too close to the panel for my comfort.
I'm pretty sure it's reading hot. The consensus among my other meters is my display is ~40fL in night mode (using AVSHD). The Munki reports 46.
The CalMAN recalibration window is short (but the meter is fast).

About the case. I happen to have an antique (revA) i1m that is past it's prime but the hanger is just the thing to counter-balance the Munki. My wife was kind enough to cons up a little velvet bumper to keep the stitching away from the AR coating.

Can you post pictures of this?

I'm trying to setup a comparison vs the I1 Pro and see how well the ColorMunki tracks to it.

ColorMunki case (http://picasaweb.google.com/bodosom/ColorMunki?feat=directlink)

I'm guessing you want a picture of the case seen from the bottom. The fabric between the seams is just a bit higher so in a perfect world only the case material (neoprene) would touch the panel. The ruler is 15 inches long and the strap is fully stretched (it's filled with a sand-like material). The other bit is the protective cover my wife made.

The seams are just a bit out of focus but I think the issue is obvious.
