Hello All...

I was very excited to get the patch for my 500m... hoping my display would benefit from the additional tweaks.

Using D-Nice's settings for ISF Day and Night... My set is very dull in color and lacks snap in every way... In fact, most 1080P content looks soft and SD like...

Now I know that breakin is important when using D-Nices's settings... but my wife simply won't allow it. :)

My Blu Ray player is the Oppo BDP-83... with all color management set to 0 or defaults... Should I consider making adjustments there?

I simply can't believe that this display is supposed to like like this!

Please help...

John

Time for proper calibration... :D

I thought you have a meter????

I would also go back in and verify your ISFccc Settings for that memory.. is that isf Day or isf Night?

btw, what Build Month is your KRP-M?

I think there is some Oppo-83 adjustments posted by D-nice too, I'll see if I can find them.

EDIT: What is your Energy Save/Power Save setting?

I thought you have a meter????

I do... DTP94... I purchase a copy of CalMAN Home.. I just haven't had the time to dedicate a few hours to it yet... I think I would like to get a USB-UIRT for a more guided approach. I tried the CalMAN HTPC pattern generator... But I am a Mac guy, so running CalMAN and ControlCal in VMware is a little challenging. So I tried using Controlcal on my wife's PC laptop and CalMAN on my Mac via VMWare... it is definitely a challenge. So I tried AVSHD disc... but I am really not sure I am using the right CalMAN screen in the CalMAN Windows section of the DVD... they really don't match the examples.

I would also go back in and verify your ISFccc Settings for that memory.. is that isf Day or isf Night?

I tried both... and checked the memory... twice! :(

btw, what Build Month is your KRP-M?

Wow... October 2008!!!

I think there is some Oppo-83 adjustments posted by D-nice too, I'll see if I can find them.

That would be awesome... I have been looking but could seem to find any.

Seriously... if the ISF settings were what was displayed at the store... I would never have purchased this set... The movie "UP" in ISF mode looks terrible when compared to the default Optimum or Game mode. :(

Hey Turbe...

I am not sure what you are asking...

I am using D-Nice's settings at http://www.controlcal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=413

use the Owner's Remote Control and goto HOME MENU | INPUT SETUP

Post the settings for the Input you are using.

Why did you need the input settings? Any help on the Oppo settings?

Try settings Video (under Input Setup) to 16-235.

If needed, try setting it to 0-255.

Any change?
