COM settings

Hi everybody.

Can anyone help me about the COM settings ?
I will use a straight-through cable to make the connection.
I have to leave the standard windows Xp COM settings or I have to change it with better settings ?

Bit/sec 9600
Data bit 8
Parity none
Bit stop 1
Flow control none

Default settings with XP and my 141, work well for me.
