I need some help. I have the opportunity to buy at my local best buy a pro151fd (display model) for 4000 + tax or a New 141FD for 4000 + tax.First of able which one is a better tv and second of all the 141FD is a monitor so I would have to buy the stand, receiver, speakers etc.

Yes, you need to take those extra's in account if needed.
If you are not wall mounting, the Stand is a big expense... I prefer a separate audio system and I like the thinner Profile of the Monitor.
The 141FD can calibrate better (by the 'numbers') but you most likely will not see the difference.. both are at the top.
See if they will include the stand for the 141FD :D
EDIT: :oops: I just noticed you said display model 151FD, forget it, go for the new 141FD unless they discount that 151FD <$3000 (IMO)

I wouldn't take a display model 151 over a new 141 either,
for the same price.

I went to the pio web site and the stand is on sale selling for 200. Yes the 151 is the display b/c they don't have anymore in stock. I asked for a discount and they say they couldn't give me one. Although I think that If I wait 2 weeks and they still have it then I could maybe get it for 3500. The 141 is the last one they have so I bought it but I have until January 15 to return it. It hasn't even been delivered yet.
So you do you think these are good prices have in mind BB gives me 3 years no interest or do you know of someone selling them cheaper than that?

For the PRO-141FD, yes...... but $4000 for a display model PRO-151FD would be a bad deal for you IMO.
You can find a new PRO-151FD for that price.

Thanks, Turbe
Can you PM places where I can get the 151 for 4000 or less?.
Also in other posts you said that you would buy the 600M. as I told you before I bought the 141 for 4000+ tax Is it better to get the 600M??Is it pretty much the same monitor after patch??

I think the 600M's were selling for around $3000-$3300.. I would go 600M over 141FD if there was that big of a price difference.
However, the 600M's are pretty much gone. :(

I just went into Best Buy yesterday, and got the following deal on the Pro141FD display model:
TV, and Stand $3199;
Number of hours on the TV: I was told it was displayed for just under 12 months, but that they had the TV in stock for 18; this puts the hours on the model at between 4500 to 6500;
Is this a good deal?? Given that these tvs are supposed to have a 100,000 hour life span, I don't feel like the display hours are that important?
I did purchase the warranty for 4 years just incase...
I'm just stoked that I got what is pretty much a 7000 dollar display for over half off... even looking online, it seems like new models are going for 6000;
