The television maker Syntax-Brillian (BRLC) (http://online.barrons.com/quotes/main.html?symbol=brlc) this morning announced that the company has filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 1 (http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/080708/20080707006148.html?.v=1)1 of the federal bankruptcy code, and that its stock “will have no value” under a proposed reorganization plan.
