Which source (player) did you use?
My source is the AVCHD DVD (AVS HD 709 patterns) on a Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray player.

Many Thanks for this post.

Thanks for these settings. I just got my 101FD and I am going to use these settings for a while. I'll go back after a few hundred hours and check them with my eye1 lt. They look really good though.

How did you go about adjusting the gamma settings? I have never seen anyone use these?
What FtL were you getting in Day mode?
thx

Hi,
D-Nice first suggested setting all the Gamma Points to -1 (though for when you have >38-40fL).

How did you design your layout with CalMAN? I've been trying to replicate D-Nice's but user defined grids are a fixed size in v3.6 and I can't make them any bigger. Also, I can't seem to put the CalMAN logo in there
Spongebob,
You can check my report for ISF-day. I get around 48FL with the posted settings.
The 9-point gamma settings can be set with Controlcal.
Turbe,
I have since made a few more changes and I am now getting gamma of 2.2 with the 9-point settings at the default all "0"s. This is with 39FL which I find is great for both day and night.
ev666il,
I used an existing report to create my report. Just remove everything you don't like and add what you want, then save it as your own custom report.

Is this the only change you made? Just the 9-point gamma back to all 0s?
Can you repost your Calman report if you did one?
Thanks

bob
my Mfg date is April 2009.
I'll post my latest report in a couple of days.
Here is the updated ISF-Night report with settings. I started from defaults and left Green High at "0". This changed gamma from my previous settings and I was able to hit 2.2 without changing the 9-point gamma from the default all "0"s. I don't feel a need for ISF-Day with my current Night settings. I get good brightness during the day and with minimal lighting, it looks great at night.

Hmm, I wonder why there's such an inconsistency between calibrations? I guess there's just different ways to go about it?
I'm currently using the OP's Pure settings; the color balance looks great but I find that I need to drop the brightness a little to get the black levels I want. The color also seems a little saturated to me, though I think all non-ISF modes may be oversaturated.

The reason for the differences in settings is because the day mode is calibrated with a 2.2 gamma target and the night setting is calibrated with a 2.4 gamma target.

jebj,
I just applied your day/night settings yesterday except I ended up using all -1 for the 9 point gamma adjustments (I didn't read the entire thread until now). If I go back and change the night settings to all 0s, do you recommend I change the day settings to all 0s? What I should say is, have you experimented with this?
Also, I input your day settings into the ISF-auto mode with intelligence on and it definitely seems to adjust to the ISF-night mode in a dark room. Thanks for the support.
joedemeterrules,
I have found that the lower contrast settings don't require any change from the default gamma setting, however with ISF-Day, gamma is too low which is why I changed it to -1. I have also played around with ISF-Auto and it looks fairly good and does adjust to changes in room brightness. I still prefer the look of Night mode and use it all the time. I never watch the TV in a completely dark room.
