Hi,just upgraded my 5020 audio ass'y to get to the elite calibration feature and picture, everything went well according to the time limit that was told by the hippo tech solutions, then everything seem to go wrong, first 8 flashing blue lites no picture(it was the ribbon cable being lose)though everything was fine next it went to 4 flashing red lites with a pause, long day woke up next morning to check again 2 flashing red lites with a pause, was told that was a power supply problem ,but before replacing board it went back to 4 flashing red lite with pause, called pioneer they told me to replace power supply board ,great right,NO,put it in and still have same 4 flashing red lites with a pause,so I checked on line and found all the meanings of the red codes for this tv,it says Y drive ass'y or scan ass'y(what is a scan ass'y???)going to change Y dive ass'y,I also was told many maybe hundreds have done this upgrade without any problems except the 8 blue lites flashing but that wasn't a big deal.Problem now is it's getting very expensive.Has anybody had anything close to these issues?????(buy the way had a great calabrator and TV repairman(was not pioneer trained) helping me)

8 blue flashes is the one issue that pops up here and there.. usually a improperly seated ribbon cable... Of all the E-Lite updates I have tracked, I have never had any reports of failure with Red flashes.

Have you gone back to to original board and rechecked all the connections?

I'm curious, how much is the repair tech charging per visit/per hour for this?
