Hi :hiya:,

Is there any chance that you can also attach screen caps of the report/chart since some won't have ColorCHFR installed. :please:

re checked the calibration for the above - this is the correct zip file

Can post screenshots of your calibration tabs? I would like to take a look at them (at work....no HCFR allowed on this PC).
ikeb,

gamma: is looking better on the lower end, but the upper end is clipping. Means u should reduce contrast one or two ticks. Now as to why it is clipping at only 40 ft/l in isf mode has me scratching my head.

Gray-Scale: the previous version was better IMO.

Color: still a tad undersaturated, i'd go up one click despite blue still being 10% to bright. That's also a bit strange.:confused:

Ok, your luminance is fine. The dip in gamma is also ok based on your grayscale. I would recommend using my updated 151FD settings as a starting point (especially the G-High/Low settings and CMS) and go from there.

I do not like how HCFR calculates dE for your color points. I know with other formulas they would be much better.

i'll try it tonight - but i don't like your contrast being so high - 40ftl is plenty for me. I'll try the gh and gl and the color points and use 40ftl

i just tried your gh and gl and color points -

rh=+3
gh=-1
bh=+6
rl=-1
gl=+1
bl=-+1
had to change all the gammas to -1
contrast 34 = about 40ftl
brightness 0
color +2 = 22% of 100% white (+1=20.9%)

Looks ok. I don't like your 10%, but the i1pro can't accurately read that low anyway.
i just redid it with calman 3.1

numbers came out as follows

rh=3
gh=-1
bh=7
rl=0
gh=+1
bl=0

the 10% came out to about 4 after i ran the calibration unchanged from calman through hcfr.

interesting how a click here or a click there changes things - i still don't like calman though.

i'll post the screens later.
I think you don't like CalMAN because you cannot create your own calibration layouts (limited to the pro version). I may create a grayscale and gamut layout to make things easier. IMO, CalMAN is leaps and bounds better than HCFR 2.1.

Now you have some issues in the midrange IREs.You can try to fix it by green at 0 in the CMS.

So you went back to your settings although my settings gave you lower dEs?

Can you post the .chc file these settings?

For consolidation:
dnice - i have a problem - i would like your input -

with regards to ISF modes - last night i was starting to redo the isf day's color and contrast by checking a 100% white window and a 100% red window. The tv had been on for about 45 minutes. My sensor started getting readings on the 100% white pattern of 42 ftl, but over about the next minute it kept going down to about 40.25. I've seen this before but have ignored it.

now i'm concerned that all my works has been useless because i may not have been getting accurate readings.

do you think this is a problem with the sensor or the hcfr software or the TV?

any input would be appreciated.
This is normal. The i1pro luminance readings can drift +-2%. However, you should not see a drift like that within a 1-2 minute time frame (norminally after 30 minutes of calibration).
