Default Calibration of PZ85u series

We just purchased a 42" Panasonic PZ85U plasma at work for one of our edit rooms, with the idea of testing the monitor and then purchasing more of them for our other bays.

I was bummed to find that no CMS was included in this panel, and I have not seen the 800U series yet, but I know the 700U series didn't have one.

I was able to adjust grayscale in the service menu, starting out on the custom setting.

Here are the settings I'm using:
Cuts
R 7E
G 80
B 7D
Drives
R ED
G FD
B 9D
All Cuts 80
All Drives FD

Input: Comp 1 Component HD/SD feeds this input.
Picture Mode: Custom
Picture: 70
Brightness: 42
Color: 36
Tint +2
Sharpness: 50
Color Temp: Warm
Picture Size is 2 for HD

everything else is off.

Viewing environment has very little ambient light. I matched this plasma to our broadcast Sony 24" CRT HD monitor.

I have included pics of the RGB levels and Color temperature to see how well this monitor can be setup. I did not include the CIE chart for obvious reasons, aside from color and tint, you have no control of the colors, BUT that being said, this monitor is as good as our $30k Sony CRT, and can be used to professionally color correct shows for broadcast, that has to tell you something!
