My latest settings for the pio 51/05 and my 141. I used F/W 1.21. A very nice update F/W as far as PQ and AQ (2ch analog) goes.

Silly Sally,
I just tried youre settings for the 141 with the Oppo and everything looks good, except when I tried using the Spears & Munsil bluray that comes with the Oppo, I had to make a little adjustment, to pass the brightness and contrast tests (the one with the black screen with black bars and the one with the white screen with white bars). I chose to adjust using the Oppo, I went to: Brightness +2 and Contrast -2. Is this fine, or should I set them at 0 or should I do this adjustments through controlcal on the monitor itself? Thank you very much! Unfortunately, since I am in Mexico, getting a profesional to calibrate is not an option (at least not a viable one), sucks for me... Anyways, I appreciate the posted settings!

Also in the clipping screen, there appears to be clipping in the R G and B. I am a newbie so please bear with me, I tried adjusting this with the contrast but no matter how low I went that would'nt solve the matter so I left it at -2 for now in the Oppo.

ss - i just plugged in your 6.9.09 isf night settings and they look great to me.

i was curious as to why you have sharpness at -9 instead of -15 like most of the other settings.

turbe - nm i tried it myself, and isf night is not editable through the panel menu

thanks to you both!

I think Peter(sillysally) uses an OPPO BDP83 for a Blu-ray player and he
states it requires a sharpness setting of -9 after the last firmware.

i wonder which settings would be best for me?

One way to test it for you set-up is with a sharpness pattern from
a calibration disc. I think you will be ok anywhere between -15
and -10.

Remember, set it to were it looks best to you.

i dunno anymore.

i don't have a disk but i plugged in ss's panasonic settings tonight and they look great to me.

also, now i'm wondering if different settings are necessary for bluray and hd-tv...

edit: i just set my hdtv size to full instead of dot by dot - any other settings you guys change for hdtv?
