After installing the update last night, I did a full ISF night calibration. Everything went well with controlcal and my calibration.

One thing. I like to turn off OSD of controlcal because of image retention. It seems to me that after I turn off OSD, I can not turn it back on. Maybe you could add a OSD button or toggle the off button to turn back on controlcal's OSD.

Thanks.

Hi

I do have a Button to turn the OSD ON in the 8G ISFccc Display Profile but didn't have room for the 9G's (except Regions2).

When you Press the END CALIBRATION Button, the OSD will be enabled automatically..

The other option many users do is to enable the Orbitor when doing the calibration process and disabling it when done.

So you just cant toggle the off button. And yes I do turn on Orbiter and understand that when you start calibration OSD is auto on. Well no biggie.

I didn't include that functionality, that Button needs to work universally (other Manufacturers and Models), not just for the OSD function.

I could change the macro functions on a Button or two to allow a toggle function.. I may do this..

I would download Winzip (trial) or WinRAR and unzip with one of those:

You need to manually delete the old EXE in your ControlCAL folder which is named:

ControlCAL v1-41 RC4 b23.exe

The only EXE that should be in your ControlCAL Folder is:

ControlCAL v1_41.exe

Note: You may not see .exe

You can do either unless you customized your ControlCAL.ini file (most don't). If you did customize your ControlCAL.ini file, you should use the Upgrade version.

The Upgrade Zip only has the EXE and will not overwrite your ControlCAL.ini file. I added this option at the request of several Professional Users (most of them do customize their ControlCAL.ini file).

I have a PDP-5020 on the way. I would love to use ControlCal to fully tweak my set after break-in but can't find a version for the non elite Kuros.
Can I use the ControlCal v1.41 RC4 Build 23+, is there a better version to use, or is it not possible at all with my lowly 5020?
Thanks for the advice and program.

Back after being awhile away due to PC failure. On new desktop posting this, and I have new laptop for CC use. If I just want to use final version with my Elite Pro 150FD, do I need an activation key or other key after installing final? I have my old Beta activation keys but I am certain those will not work here.

So after install on new laptop (downgraded to XP from Vista, DON"T ASK) what else do I need? And I have USB to Serial with NULL pin adaptor on for use, same I use with Yamaha Receiver Manager. That worked with Beta software, so I hope it stills works here.

Got it, thanks, and Paypal sent. I've been trying to get data off a hard drive ever since and just did, so I built a nice desktop and got all my data, reinstalled old XP Media Center SP1 OS on what was new Vista Home laptop, and I finally found this forum again, got a new password and back.

Will we need our activation key for the new version? Once we uninstall the prior version, do we have re-input the registration key?

thx

No, North American Users and most other Users worldwide will use the same Activation Key and you don't have to re-enter your Activation Key. A few Users outside of North America will need a new Activation Key.

If you customized/edited your ControlCAL.ini file, you should copy it to another directory/folder (back it up) and then copy it back into the ControlCAL directory after you install/upgrade to v1.45.
