Does v2.1 make the mid panel brightness linear (straight line)?

If I may, do you know if it only applies to Custom and ISF modes?

From my very inexperienced observations it seems using the hdmi graphic setting is very similar. Unfortunately setting graphic applies to all modes but doesn't apply to any OTA modes so it has some limitations.

Thanks so much for your reply.

It's my understanding that it only applies to Custom and ISF. THX and Cinema are already good in that regard; they didn't need fixing.

One more thing too, I've been using ControlCal via the network, it is beyond awesome!!!

Being able to swap out settings virtually in a few seconds has helped me immeasurably.

Just got Control Cal 2.0 for my VT30. LOVE IT! I had some ISF settings on my HDMI 1 input that I was in love with. Took less than 5 minutes to copy all those settings over to all my other inputs. Super easy to use. Now I have that same great picture no matter what input I'm using. Turbe was a huge help and was always there to answer my questions.

Soon Panasonic will release VT50 series here on Brazil.

I want to know if ControlCAL will be compatible?

Thanks.

looking forward for turbe to send me my copy of controlcal for my VT30. Does anyone have good results and a saved file they could upload? Would be very interested in seeing people results on the VT30! As well as give me a good starting point to work with as I dont have expensive light sensing equipment and all those other fancy tools.

I emailed you

Check Here for some calibration reports and ControlCAL Settings file..

Pay attention to the details, there is a optional firmware update (details in Post #1 in this Thread) for the North American VT30's that some of those owners have applied...

no, this VT30 will not stay and will allow the next person decide if they want the optional one or not.. if you are doing a proper calibration (either DIY or PRO) it's best to apply it IMO. Some users who have applied it posted their reports and settings file I believe.

The_Hun, it's not Professional 1 and Professional 2, it's isf Night and isf Day....

Your model has the North American ISFccc Interface, Pro1/Pro2 Picture Modes are in the UK/Euro Models and are similar to Custom in North America but without the Panel Brightness setting.

You don't see isf Night, isf Day or both (depending on what you activated in ControlCAL) in your Picture Mode list?

Default VT50 usage/red parameters

Hello, I am new to this..

I managed to connect ControlCal to my Panasonic VT50 over network. Also I got ISF day/night modes enabled. And when I adjust settings, it/OSD updates on the TV. But if I press the button "get all", all parameters get red, and I get a warning. Also, I cannot change mode(Vivid, Thx etc), only input (HDMI etc). Is this the way it is supposed to be? I didn't find any dummies guide for the V2.0 of ControlCal. If I get it right, ISF day and night are the only two modes that are able to change with ControlCal V2.0 for the Panasonic VT50?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul, make sure you are following the instructions I emailed (it's with the download information).

You cannot change modes while in ISFcc, you must work on Night or Day for either 2D or for 3D until you End C3.

Check out Procedure #5 in the Instructions, that will give you additional mode information.

I'll also email you to check Get All.

Hey Turbe...

VT50 owner here. Just sent in for personal use on my VT50. Safe to assume I will eventually get an email with an activation key and the aforementioned instructions?

Looking to use some of the posted ISF Day/ISF Night Settings, and just have a quicker way to move around the menus. Sounds like ContolCal is exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm technical, but not around video calibration. Any concerns having an non-calibrator such as myself using the software?

Steve
