Default I have a Spyder 2, would a i1Display LT be a significant upgrade for a Kuro?

As per the title. My Spyder was bought in 2006, used initially and then stored in its pouch till now.

The Display LT/2 would be an upgrade to the Spyder 2. Though there are several users using the Display LT/2 on their Kuros, it's not recommended by D-Nice and others. We do recommend the Chroma 5 or EyeOne Pro on the Kuros.

Unfortunately those are really beyond my budget, already stretched by the 6090...

I hope that with proper care the LT will be able to suffice. Can you confirm that the LT is the same hardware as the 2?
